F.A.Q.s

Update 14/02/2018

What EU Events is?

EU Events s a not-for-profit association of volunteers registered in Belgium (asbl). You can check our mission and team HERE.

Is EU Events just a website?

Nope! We are active every day on social media and release every Sunday evening a weekly newsletter to guide you through the coming week.

Does EU Events make a selection of events on the basis of political ideas?

Never! We do want to be as transparent and comprehensive as possible. This project does not reflect our personal ideas. It is only meant to increase and improve information for EU citizens.

I am an event organiser. Why should I upload my events on EU Events?

Because EU Events is the only web-portal gathering targeted events on EU Affairs in Brussels and Brussels only.

Because your event will be immediately visible to all our users and followers.

Because we are the only public repository collecting up to 3.000 events per year (e.g. 2016 and 2017).

Why should I address EU Events with general queries about my event and not only?

Because we normally reply within one hour.

More in general, we provide support with logistics, promotion, and event reporting. Our expertise might be precious.

How do I/my organisation submit an event?

Please, check HERE.

You can also tag us on social media and spread our hashtag #EUevents.

What if I made a mistake on my event?

The contents of your posts are entirely under your responsibility.

Once your post is published, only administrators might change it. Do not hesitate to get in touch with via This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. . Please, also detail what is to be changed.

Are all EU Events public?

Not necessarily. We include also private and by-invitation events, if they are relevant in terms of speakers and/or organisers. Whenever possible, it is clearly indicated on the event page.

How do I register to an event?

EU Events intends to just act as an intermediary and only the organisers of the event are normally in charge of registrations.

Anyway, whenever information on registration or links are publicly available, we will include them.

Registration deadlines and participation fees are normally included in our event description.

I cannot find the agenda, the starting time or the venue of the event. What shall I do?

EU Events collects publicly available information.

It might occasionally happen that information is missing on the source web-pages, has not been shared yet with the public or simply has not yet been defined by the organisers themselves. We advise you to check regularly the source website or to contact the organisers directly.

Which events will be shared on social media?

Given the volume of events posted, it is impossible to promote them all.

It is entirely up to EU Events to make this selection, based on the topic, organiser or speakers and/or agreements with the organiser.

Academic support

EU Events is always glad to provide research support to universities and thinktanks. We only request to be duly quoted as a source.

Be aware events from 2014 to 2017 are now archived and no longer visible online. Only the events of the previous 3 months will be kept visible on line. How shall I check EU Events on my mobile?

You can normally access from your browser or, if you use Android, download our app HERE.

Does EU Events cover events only?

Our main missions remains the timely publication of events.
