Bringing down CO2 emissions on the road: Is WLTP enough?

Transport
Date: Wednesday, 26 September 2018 13:00 - 15:00

Venue: European Parliament / 60 rue Wiertz / Room JAN 4Q2 / 1047 Brussels  |  City: Bruxelles

The introduction of the new Worldwide Harmonised Light Vehicle Test Procedure (WLTP) is expected to lead to more representative emission measurements than the old NEDC test cycle. However, there will still be a gap between real world emissions and the values measured in the laboratory.

This event will bring together representatives of NGOs, motorists, industry, as well as researchers to discuss the opportunities and challenges resulting from the transition to the WLTP, and its effects in the context of the debate on the post-2020 CO2 standards for cars and vans.

Kindly hosted by Mrs Revault d’Allonnes-Bonnefoy MEP, this event is organised as part of the Get Real campaign on real fuel consumption figures, supported by the Life+ programme.
