As the U.K. looks beyond Brexit and towards the next election, what kind of country should it aspire to be? How can politicians ensure the country is well-placed to meet the challenges posed by ever-accelerating technological change and the forces of globalization?

With the political Left under pressure amid the rise of populism across much of the Western world, understanding how the Labour Party will buck the trend is key to interpret its future.

POLITICO is hosting a fringe event at the U.K. Labour Party Conference on “The Future of Britain post 2022”. Presented by Citi and Clifford Chance, the event will take place on Sunday, September 23 in Liverpool.

As part of the “Britain 2022” series, Jack Blanchard, POLITICO’s London Playbook Editor, will lead a live discussion.
