The State of Asylum in Europe. Debate on the basis of EASO Annual Report

The Annual European Asylum Support Office (EASO) report aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the situation of asylum in the EU+ (EU Member States plus Norway, Switzerland, Iceland and Liechtenstein ) by examining requests for international protection to the EU, analysing application and decision data, asylum trends, including key challenges and responses during the year, major institutional and legal developments and providing an overview of the practical functioning of the Common European Asylum System (CEAS).

On 4 July 2018, just a few days after the release of the EASO report, a panel of experts will discuss the situation of asylum in the past year and debate the ongoing CEAS reform.

The event will be free and open to the public. As places are limited, registration is required for those who are not registered as students of the Odysseus Summer School.
