The online market place; an argument for self regulation

ICT and Digital Agenda
Date: Wednesday, 28 November 2018 14:00 - 18:00

Venue: EU Commission

The internet has become by far the largest market place for animals in Europe. This is happening in unregulated online markets which can lead to poor practice with negative consequences for the animals, the buyers and public health.

This multi-stakeholder event will look at different perspectives to the problem and explore the merits of self-regulatory systems to improve the standards of online pet adverts.
