FINAL CONFERENCE OF EUROPE PROJECT TOLERANCE AND RESPECT: EDUCATION FOR SOCIAL INCLUSION

The TOLERANCE AND RESPECT: EDUCATION FOR SOCIAL INCLUSION conference will be held on 29th November at the Royal Library of Belgium Meeting Center, in Brussels.

The conference will explore an innovative approach to promote tolerance and intercultural understanding through education: the Quiet Time with Transcendental Meditation Programme for schools. The conference will bring together teachers, educational staff, stakeholders in school education and policy makers from various European countries and allow participants to engage in fruitful discussions, learning from the EUROPE impact and policy recommendations.

By joining us, you will discover and learn about:

·       The EUROPE project as an innovative approach to tackle the root cause of violence and to promote tolerance, respect and understanding.

·      Scientific research results from studies conducted in the course of the project in Portugal, Sweden and the Netherlands on the benefits of Quiet Time/Transcendental Meditation programme and its impact on school environment.

·       Direct experiences from the schools involved in the project from the different countries implementing the Quiet Time/ TM programme.

·       Policy recommendations and how the effective EUROPE project approach can be scaled up across European countries, and not only.

·       The conference will allow further networking, engaging EUROPE project experts, researchers, partners and schools with interested policy-makers and stakeholders. 

·       A face to face meeting between participants in the EUROPE project and other schools and interested stakeholders present at the conference will follow in the afternoon.
