We are Europe Academy 2018 Edition

Civil Society - Trainings
Date: Friday, 09 November 2018 14:00 - 13:00

Venue: Mundo B, Rue d'Edimbourg 26, 1050 Ixelles  |  City: Brussels

What is the "We are Europe Academy”?

The “We are Europe Academy” is a training event for civil society activists organised by the Union of European Federalists (UEF) and the European Citizens Action Service (ECAS) in the context of the We are Europe project supported by the European Commission’s Europe for Citizens programme.

The We are Europe Academy will help activists from your organisation develop their practical skills in political communication, campaigning, citizens engagement, grass-roots campaigning and organisation building. The We are Europe Academy will provide you with a toolbox to prepare your members to be active participants in the ongoing debate on the future of Europe, particularly in the run up to the European elections, and in the public debate against raising nationalism.

The programme of the We are Europe Academy includes:

  • Three “Face-to-face debates” on critical European issues. Focus will be on “Our Money”, “Our Security” and “Our Democracy”.
  • Three rounds of mine Workshops on practical matters, on subjects related to political communication, citizens engagement and grass-root campaigning.
  • Practical Projects in small groups, which will allow participants to apply the learnings from the event to a wide range of case scenarios.

Particular focus will be put on how to foster your organisation’s role as an active player in the run up to the European Parliament elections in May 2019.
